As the winter season comes to a close at Scottish Lakes we begin to look forward to the Sun Season. What is Sun Season you ask??? Well, Scottish Lakes is a fabulous place to visit in August and September. The wildflowers are out, the trails are dry, the weather is warm, the skies are blue, the fish are biting, but wait, there is more….October! The larches are turning, the days are still beautiful and the evenings crisp air invites you to enjoy the hot tub with your favorite beverage.
If you need any more reasons to visit Scottish Lakes at this time, try these on…the rates are cheaper for both lodging and transportation, it is less crowded (of course, we want to “fix” this) and it is easier to convince skittish campers to come stay when the walk between the cabin and the main lodge is not on slippery snow in 20 degree temperatures.
We are also going to be encouraging special group activities – either mid-week or weekend – this summer and fall. These could include business retreats, church groups, personal development, yoga, writing, etc. We will be providing a catered option if the groups are large enough so you can spend all of your High Camp time focused on your activity.
