We Listened to You!

Throughout last year you may have noticed in your final invoice from us that we included a link to SurveyMonkey. We learned (or reaffirmed) some interesting things from all of you – THANK YOU very much. Here are some of the highlights:

  • You talk up Scottish Lakes a lot! Our most consistent marketing is coming from word-of-mouth. Keep it up – share the joy!
  • Of course you loved the recreational activities from skiing to snowshoeing to hiking. You also loved the rustic beauty and solitude. And many people mentioned community and family togetherness as important draws to High Camp.
  • 96% of you felt you got your money’s worth and almost 100% of you said you would recommend Scottish Lakes to friends.

In the area of improvements- we heard you here too!

  • We have included more specials: lower rates for a third (or fourth) night, more family weekends, compelling large group options and last minute reduced rate bookings.
  • We also heard that you want us to be open longer in the summer.
  • We did some cabin facelifts this year from tons of painting to fireplace work to kitchen utensil upgrades
  • Oh! and we purchased a whole army of NEW SNOWSHOES!

Did you want to see more activities up at High Camp? And what might they be?

  • Offer mountain biking. In response to this a fair number of folks took their bikes up in the fall to test out the trails.
  • More ‘host’ led activities – snowshoe, hiking, environmental education
  • More retreat options – yoga, scrapbooking, writing/journaling, outdoor environmental education

These are all great ideas! Some are easy while others are transformational. We will be looking into these in the upcoming year. If you have suggestions on how we might work through some of the larger items, send us an email or give us a call. We are receptive to your thoughts. Thank you again for responding to our SurveyMonkey inquiry. We are always looking to find the ‘sweet spot’ as we continue to operate High Camp.
