At the end of March Debbie and David, long time Scottish Lakes guests and volunteers, skied to a remote camera station in the Chiwaukum Mountains. They join Jim, who set up this station, in monitoring wolverines in this area. There is a remote camera and meat secured with barbed wire to attract the wolverine and also retrieve fur samples to determine if the animal is a new individual in the area. The work as a volunteer is challenging in that the station is very distant and remot, plus you need to carry in meat to replace what is eaten. Pretty exciting work! Here is another great shot!
