Sunset Meadow

I would say Sunset Meadow is our most popular hike. It is a little steep, but short! You climb up and there are monster views over McCue Ridge. You can pop up there in the early morning before breakfast…or catch the sunset late in the day. Very accessible.  Of course during the winter the slope is Wild Bill Hill which is yoyo skied constantly when the snow is good.

The round trip hike is just 1.5 miles. Views from the meadow include:  Snowgrass, Big Chiwaukum and Big Jim in the distance with the Chiwaukum Creek drainage below you. As you descend your view is Glacier Peak.  In August the meadow is filled with Lupine…completely blue. So beautiful. We have had many weddings there.
