Whether you come during the winter or the fall, Scottish Lakes is a wonderful place for children. It is an easy, comfortable introductions to the wilderness during any season. In fall fish are easy to catch at the nearest lake, Julius. You can also swim in Julius at the shallow end where the water has a chance to warm. There is a fire pit at High Camp for roasting marshmallows and telling stories with friends old and new. In winter there are sleds which keep kids out on the sledding hill until late in the evening. The screams of laughter make joyful noise and bring smiles to parent’s faces. In all seasons the hot tub is a wonderful experience. There are games and books in the lodge to round out any visit.
