Tis the Future!

Well this is our new snocat grooming Bonnie Brae trail. I know you are probably just sick of hearing about the PistonBully 240 D…I seem to go on endlessly. But it is just so exciting! Besides grooming the route between mid mountain and High Camp, we are planning to groom some ski trails. This would mean a smoother run for beginning cross country skiers and a great surface for skate skiing. Here Matt our master snocat driver is checking out Bonnie Brae to see how the grooming goes. Reports are good!
The Bonnie Brae route starts at Peg’s Promenade climbs the lower part of McCue Ridge below Don’s High Road. It traverses over ending about half way up Wild Bill Hill. It would be an out and back route and a nice exit off Wild Bill if the going is too steep. Other potential groomed ski trails we are looking at are: High Country with a loop possibly to Wedding Point and then coming back via Roundabout, and another out and back on the lower part of Tranquility. This would create a wonderful network of routes for easy cross country skiing and super fast skate skiing. Next year looks to open up these routes and increase your recreation options at Scottish Lakes!
