Happy Big Snow New Year!
January 4th, 2016 in High Camp Happenings
Happy New Year to the High Camp Community and with deep appreciation for the many wonderful back country experiences we have shared this past year with our guests. The holiday season for 2015 was particularly memorable with huge snowfall early, cold temperatures and blue skies. We are so excited about the strong start for winter this year that we wanted to share it with you.The featured photo is Zeke at High Point on McCue Ridge. This was taken December 16th…already plenty of snow for a grand ski. Heidi skiing down the McCue Gully from High Point on December 2nd. The big view of the High Meadows was taken December 30th. The 3 peaks are from the left: McWaukum, next to it a bit lower Tamarack then towards the right Baldy. We call this the Triumverate. The High Meadows has been a playground for steep and deep skiing already this season.
The snow has been wonderful on the lower trails as well. Don’s High Road for moderate skiing and gorgeous views is a perfect destination. Low Road is beautiful as it rolls through the forest above High Camp. Truly there is good snow and skiing for all!
