I would like to introduce you to our two new staffers. They will join Eric, Zeke, Rich, Marc, Mario and George to help us staff High Camp. They will take care of guests, clean cabins, transport people and ski the trails. Kenzie and Larry are the newest members of the High Camp team.

Kenzie is from Alaska. This past summer she was a sea kayaking guide in Seward Alaska. Next summer she go back to Alaska for work, but is not certain what it will be. She likes to ferment things! Like sauerkraut or yogurt…things like that. Her degree in Ethno Botany supports this. That is learning about how people use plants. The health benefits interest her. Her degree is also in Environmental Education. And she loves to ski! So she is in the right place this winter.

Larry is from Wisconsin. He is a friend of Eric’s. They met at the Boundary Waters Outward Bound site in Ely, Minnesota. Larry cooked for everyone and Eric worked as a guide. Larry feels as though sauteing huge amounts of kale was a big part of his summer work. He has a degree in Industrial Archeology which has taken him to many places from Svalbard Archipelago in the far north Atlantic to Dutch Harbor and Eagle Alaska. Larry also likes to ski and has skied on Lake Superior when it was frozen between islands!

We have had a great start to our 2016-2017 season and it is due to these two awesome new friends of Scottish Lakes High Camp!
